SLAVENBURG & HUYSER B.V. is one of the most important independent ship-broking and logistic service providing companies still remaining in Rotterdam.

By far the majority of shipping offices established in Rotterdam are ship-owners. From its head office in Rotterdam our company offers ship-broking, customs and logistic service activities in all Dutch seaports.

Our all-round world-wide logistic services, including airfreight, have been developed in close consultation by a renowned network of reliable agents and partners.

SLAVENBURG & HUYSER B.V. has more than 57 years of experience, world-wide. Good, reliable mutual relationships and personal contacts with the chain of shippers and ship-owners, alongside the knowledge and quality of our service, are the best guarantee for reliable business relations.

History

SLAVENBURG & HUYSER B.V. was established by the two parties whose name it bears, shortly after the end of World War II, during the post-war reconstruction of Rotterdam in 1949.

The company started out by providing forwarding activities and vessel chartering, with a view to setting up its own liner service.

In the course of time the emphasis shifted to ship-broking.

In recent years the full range of logistic services has expanded steadily in response to market demands and now fulfils an ever more significant supplementary task.

Our Staff

SLAVENBURG & HUYSER B.V. works with a staff of over 60 highly motivated and well-trained people for whom people’s business, knowledge and personal approach are of paramount importance. Thanks to the excellent working atmosphere, staff turnover and absenteeism are minimal, thus ensuring that expertise and relations, once acquired, remain available to both you and us.

We are fully aware that, alongside the reputation acquired by the company over the years and our healthy financial structure, our staff is one of our principal assets. The management does everything in its power to keep their knowledge up to date by means of internal and external courses, so that their logistic expertise continues to form a significant link in the cooperation chain.

The extremely low level of absenteeism - 2,6% per annum - is indicative of our open and agreeable business culture, with which many of our staff have worked for decades.
